CATHARINE SCHULTZ
Our Mom passed peacefully on April 3, 2022, at age 97, and is now with our Dad, her beloved Johnny.
Of the many facets in her life, the most important centered around family. Mom and Dad married in 1949 and together they raised four children in their small home on Donalda, eventually building their dream home on Kenabeek. Dad gardened, Mom preserved. As a family we travelled in the yellow Plymouth station wagon, often to Minneapolis and Maple Lake and out west through the Roger's Pass to Penticton. Later Mom and Dad made memorable trips overseas and to conferences through Dad's work. Sadly, Dad passed too soon in 1984 leaving Mom to carry on. She continued to travel to Hawaii with friend Edith and to Victoria to see family.
We, her children, Karen (Kari), Nancy (Darrel), Larry (Debbie), Randy, and "favourite" niece Lesley (Dave) will miss her good-natured spirit and sense of humour. Mom was an avid knitter with a talent for Scrabble and crosswords. She leaves us with special recipes, fond memories and knowledge of being loved. Her seven grandchildren, Kevin (Michelle), Ken (Ella), Kimberly (Dean), Jennifer (in loving memory), Brydon (Sareena), Jonathon (Hyein), and Caitlin, along with nine great-grandchildren, Roman, Lola, Willow, Cohen, Samuel, Brady, Evan, Drew, and Aiden, were privileged to have known her.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date at Glen Eden.

My sincere condolences to Karen, Nancy, Larry and Randy on the loss of your wonderful Mom. I will always remember her kindness, thoughtfulness and her smile. I have so many great memories of all of the fun times growing up. Even though I had not seen her for many years she used to phone me on my birthday. A life well lived and well loved. - Posted by: Linda Monasterski (nee Braymore) (Childhood friend of family) on: Apr 09, 2022
