KATHLEEN (KAY) DIANE MCNEIL
October 21, 1964 - April 4, 2022
With her husband and her sister holding her hands, Kay left this world too soon.
Kay is survived by her husband James Bileski; furry children, Ben and Hershey; stepchildren, Desnie (Adam); Lacey (Jeremy); Nichole (Rick); Jamie (Grady), mother-in-law Joan Black; sisters-in-law Cheri and Jennifer; brother-in-law Jeff (Cynda); Kay's loving sister Missy Penner (Phil); nephews Cole and Troy; sister-in-law Jo-Anne McNeil; nieces Taylor and Sarah; niece Alyssa Fournier; uncle Al and his beautiful daughters Alison and Leslie (Ryan)........and numerous cousins.
Kay was sadly predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Anne McNeil and brothers Mike and Pat.
Kay grew up in East Kildonan on Greene Avenue and made lifelong friends while attending Neil Campbell, John Henderson, and Miles Macdonell. In those early, carefree years her family made beautiful lasting memories and friendships at Lester Beach.
Her path took her to Calgary for 19 years before coming home and starting her life over with James Bileski. Truly a blessing for both of them as they loved and built a beautiful life together with the many friends and memories that they shared from junior high.
Immediately thrown into J's racquetball family, Kay thrived both on and off the court with the amazing group of players that she met from all over Canada. Many close and lasting friendships were made.
Kay started her career at Cardinal Capital Management in 2010 and grew beautiful friendships with the wonderful people that she worked for and with.
From August 2009 until cancer shortened her beautiful life, Kay and Jamie shared countless laughs, smiles and adventures together. Her love for Jamie was immeasurable.
Kay would like to thank all of the loving friends and family that were able to see her off at Selkirk Hospital. Their support and love were appreciated.

I have fond memories of cute little Kay from the 600 Block of Greene Avenue. My Mom was very pleased that there was another Kay on Greene Avenue, as my Mom was Kathleen (Kay) too. I find it hard to believe that Missy is now the only one of the four McNeil kids....so my sincere condolences go to Missy. We are so very sorry to hear this sad news. Our deepest condolences to Jamie and the rest of the family. We didn't know Kay well, but got to know her through mutual friends. We enjoyed a few BBQs, campfires, and several years of Porkfests at the farm. She was always so warm and friendly, taking a real interest in people. Kay, we will miss your beautiful smile. Kay was my cousin - named after my Mom, another Kay McNeil. Kay was beautiful, warm and generous. She was brave to the end. Gone far too soon from a life she shared with Jamie and loved dearly. Another McNeil star lights the sky. Upsetting news of Kay's passing. Missy and surrounding families, This is tough to imagine what it was like , is like for you and Kay leading up to her departure day especially knowing that she was undergoing treatment during Pat's decline before he passed. Such heavy tragedy. I know you have strong connections with many friends who feel this loss deeply. You are loved and remembered. My deepest condolences to Missy, James & family for the loss of your beloved Kay. Our families grew up together attending Neil Campbell & MMC. Our mothers were friends. I remember the last time I saw Kay, at my Mom's house with my sister Kim. I remember her great smile & distinctive McNeil family laugh. So sadly, gone too soon, reunited with her parents & brothers. There are really no words to express the sorrow. It is still so hard to believe she is gone. Kay was beautiful, fun and loving. She was my little sister and I loved her dearly. She will be deeply missed. I am so glad Kay and Jamie found each other and shared such a beautiful life together, although cut too short.. She deserved that happiness.
