JAMES ALBERT LAMOUREUX
December 21, 1942 - April 8, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce on April 8, 2022 James Albert Lamoureux of Winnipeg peacefully passed away at the age of 79 with his wife and daughters by his side.
Jim will be sadly missed and survived by his loving wife Barbara; cherished daughters and their families, Lisa, Gregg, Brendan, Brittany, Audrey, Robynne, Rodney, Curtis, Justin, Becca, Henry, Ben, Michelle, Meagan, Aly, Randy; sisters, Linda and Rose; sister-in-law Edie. Nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours will miss him dearly.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Edna Lamoureux and grandson Tyler.
Jim was a devoted family man who married his high school sweetheart Barbara. Together they raised three girls, his pride and joy. Jim proudly drove bus for Winnipeg Transit for 30 years. Passengers often brought him small tokens of appreciation. He returned to work full time at Walmart for 20 years and retired at the age of 75. He was dedicated and took pride in his work. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family. In 1976 he bought a van from the Montreal Olympics and a camper to make special memories with us. Jim had a special connection with those he met and in his own quiet way had an impact on their lives. He packed boxes of Girl Guide cookies in his car to share with everyone! Thank you Jim for your generosity. A heartfelt thank you to our close neighbours for your friendship with Dad over the years. A warm thank you to Rolly and Holly for all that you have done. Your kindness will be remembered.
We extend our thanks to Dr. Caners for your care and kindness over the years. Thank you to the medical team at Riverview for your excellent care and support. We appreciate you all.
Dad, you taught us to tie our shoes, ride our bikes, work hard, save our pennies and love. We love you and miss you so much. We carry you in our hearts forever. As Jim was such a quiet and humble man the family will hold a private service at his graveside.
For those who wish, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society to support Jim's love of pets.
