BRUCE BRIAN WAGNER
1946 – 2022

Bruce Brian Wagner passed away at the Pasqua Hospital on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 due to Multiple Myeloma and West Nile Virus.
Brian was born in Regina on November 10, 1946. He grew up in Balgonie, graduating from elementary school and Greenall High School there. At the University of Manitoba, he first studied Architecture and then graduated with a Civil Engineering degree in 1971. Brian was a skilled problem solver, enjoying every chance to use that skill, often in engineering. But it was his work as a Facilities Manager, especially at the Regina Public School Board, where he found the most satisfaction.
Brian loved many forms of music, loved speed (whether it was on a racetrack in Gimli or on a mountain ski slope), loved winter (because there were no allergies or mosquitos), loved skating, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, curling, and pickleball – especially pickleball. He was a strong athlete who enjoyed many sports – except golf – golf brought out his temper. Brian was also a hard-working, lifelong volunteer, including 20 years on the Board of the Regina Ski Club and helping establish pickleball as a viable sport in Regina. Above all, Brian's joy and peace were spending time on his farmland, the family homestead.
Brian was predeceased by his parents, John and Martha (nee Thomas) Wagner; brother Albert "Bert"; and sister-in-law Deanna. He is survived by Judy, his best friend and loving wife of 53 years; son Grayden (Laurence); brothers, Murray (Susanne), Grant, as well as Grant's children, Glenn (Rose), Jimmy (Adelle), Wanda (Shane) and Carole (Dan).
There will be no funeral service. A memorial event will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers (they made Brian sneeze), those so wishing may make a donation in memory of Brian to Myeloma Canada, www.myelomacanada.ca, or the Palliative Care Unit of Pasqua Hospital.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Brian and I met many years ago in Saskatoon. He was managing the office of a large commercial builder/developer and I was in the early stages of getting a new flooring company off the ground. Brian was generous with his time and energy in moving some business in my direction and very patient with some of the inevitable hiccups that ensued. My late wife Marjorie and I were sorry to see Brian and Judy leave Saskatoon when they relocated to Regina. He was a good man. Condolences to Judy and family. - Posted by: Jeff Braid (Business Associate/Friend) on: Apr 16, 2022
