I was shocked to see George’s obituary in the paper. My condolences to all George’s friends and family. I worked with George at Canada Packers many years ago. Despite being as different as any two people can be, we became good friends and spent many nights checking out different bands in the clubs in downtown Winnipeg in the 80s. We stayed in touch for a while in the 90s but eventually drifted our own ways. I will always remember his laugh, his love for a good time and his dedication to his friends and family. You’ll be missed, George. - Posted by: Doug Tisdale (Friend) on: May 04, 2022

I just heard the sad news of George's passing and wanted to extend my deepest condolences to the entire Romanovych family. I played hockey with George many years ago and will always remember and be thankful for the many times he and Mr. and Mrs. Romanonych would go out of their way to give me a ride to our games when I didn't have one. Years later, I would often see and talk to George at the gym but it has been quite awhile since we last spoke. He will be missed. To the family, may his memories be a blessing and may he rest in peace. - Posted by: Gary Prost (Friend) on: Apr 20, 2022

Andy I’m sorry to hear about the lose of your brother and someone I deemed as my old friend. We grew up together and played on the same hockey teams. Even later on in life rekindled memories on the hard wooden gym floors playing floor hockey with the boys. He left far to young. He’s in my thoughts and will miss his demeanour even though we haven’t crossed paths in a few years. - Posted by: Ric Bobychuk (Friend ) on: Apr 18, 2022

My deepest condolences to the whole family. George was full of life and spirit. We have played many soccer matches together back in the 1990's when we were on IPAC Ukraine soccer team. VICHNAYA PAM'YAT - Posted by: Slavko Waplak (IPAC Ukraine Soccer friend) on: Apr 18, 2022
