How has it been only a year
when it feels like a lifetime?
Not a day goes by that we don't wish we
could hear your voice, that we could sit
around the table and enjoy one of your
delicious meals while we talk and laugh, or
that we could once again feel the
loving warmth of your embrace.
You were so much of who we were,
so much of our joy and our happiness,
and now there is such an emptiness.
Life has gone on, but it will
never be the same.
Loving you beyond words,
missing you beyond measure.
