MARYANNE SHIRLEY BOALER
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Maryanne Shirley Boaler (nee Eger). Maryanne is joining all her family in heaven especially her Norman. She would have been 88 on May 22, 2022.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Doug), son Don (Kimberly), grandchildren, Paul (Diana), Josh (Sophie), Brendyn, and Lucas, great-grandchildren, Lili and Margo and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed.
She grew up in Elmwood, and attended Lord Selkirk School. As a girl she was active in sports, baseball, roller and ice skating. Maryanne was always active in her church, mentoring and leading Luther League and Vacation Bible School at St. Paul's Lutheran Church and later in life at First Lutheran Church. She was a member of the River Elm School PTA for several years. She and her best friends, Dolly and Doris, walked door to door delivering the new product Dove soap. Together they all worked the night shift at Johnsons Nuts. Maryanne went on to work at Ackland's, Air Canada, and the Royal Bank. Winnipeg Beach and Victoria Beach held very fond memories spending time with her family and friends. Being a social butterfly, she loved going with her friends to the casinos, playing bingo at the Norwood Legion and brunch at Assiniboia Downs. She was very active in the social committee at her apartment block Riverside Plaza. She loved to shop! If Norman was busy, she would get on a bus and walk through Polo Park. Mom could always be seen with a diet Coke in her hand.
After Norman passed, she maintained a positive disposition and did the very best that she could. Sadly, at the end of her life she was pleasantly confused because of her dementia but she was always fun to be with.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date.

So sorry to hear about your Mom. I remember her well from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in my Sunday School years. Later on, (like 30 years later!), I saw her occasionally when we both coincidentally had our hair done at the same time! It was so nice to catch up! Your Mom was a lovely lady; may your pleasant memories cheer you and give you comfort. - Posted by: Diane Trenholm (nee Tyderkie) (Old Neighbourhood and Church Friend) on: Apr 23, 2022

Maryanne was a beautiful loving person. New her back in the day at St. Paul's. Worked with Norm. What I remember most about her was never a hair out of place, very stylish and so much fun. RIP beautiful lady. Say hi to Norm. Marlene Kerr - Posted by: Marlene Kerr (Friend) on: Apr 23, 2022
