ELIZABETH DIANE MOROZ
(nee HAMPSON)
May 7, 1950 - April 9, 2022
It's with heavy hearts we share the sudden passing of Elizabeth Diane Moroz on April 9, 2022 at the age of 71. She passed away in her home in Oak Bluff, MB.
Diane married the love of her life, Jim, in 1971 and went on to build a joyful life and had three children. She will be forever remembered by her husband Jim; children, Brad (Dana), Megan (Colin) Kendall, Matthew (Krista); and her precious grandchildren, Jill and Nikky Moroz, Victoria, Paige and Casey Moroz.
She will also be missed by her siblings, Brian (Eileen), Kathy (Norm), Barbara Horn, Kelvin (Bonny).
Diane was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Lena Hampson of Ferndale, MB where she grew up on her family farm.
Mom was known as Gramma, G-Ma, and Dinabell to most. She always said her greatest accomplishment was having her three children and how fortunate she was to have us live all around her. Then the grandchildren came and lit her life up even more. You could often hear her say when the grandkids went in to see her "oh my precious" as she stole a hug.
Mom spent countless hours watching us kids and her grandkids whether it was baseball, hockey, ringette or dance and she didn't miss a chance to tell you how well you did. She loved to sit on her swing and watch her family playing and tinkering in the yard, it gave her such enjoyment. She loved baking and was sure to make everyone's favourites; pancakes and chocolate chip cookies were her specialty.
Diane worked as an accounts payable clerk at TruServ Canada where she spent the majority of her working years and retired in 2015. She spoke of many friends made and holds them dear to her heart.
Special thanks to the Fire and Paramedic crew of the R.M. of MacDonald for their efforts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane's memory to a charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Oak Bluff Community Hall, 101 MacDonald Rd., and will be a come and go format from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on May 7, 2022.
Condolences for the family may be left at www.alternacremation.ca.

I was so truly sorry to read about the passing of Diane. In high school she was such a bright spot to any of us who spent time with her. I fondly remember us being on the same curling team. She was always so fun and happy to be around. I am so sorry for your loss, but happy that you spent such a wonderful life together raising your children. Let the happy memories of the beautiful life you shared sustain you. - Posted by: Gail (Fisher) on: May 07, 2022

I have a lot of fond memories growing up with Brad and regularly visiting Mr & Mrs Moroz's. We may have caused a lot of trouble as kids, but Mrs Moroz was in constant check of our shenanigans. I am so very sorry for the entire family to hear of your loss. No words can comfort, but fond memories can help. Keep her in your hearts and minds. We are always thinking of you. - Posted by: Anthony & Heather Wiebe (Friend) on: May 04, 2022

Uncle Jim & family, I was so saddened to hear of auntie Dine's passing. Some of my most cherished childhood memories were at your house, helping auntie Dine in the kitchen, or babysitting Brad, Megan and Matt when they were young. Auntie Dine had the most incredible infectious laugh. She was adored by all who knew her. Her kindheartedness and warmth will surely be missed by so many. Rest in Peace auntie. - Posted by: Donna Tracey Gueushi (Niece) on: May 02, 2022

Diane was special to me and everyone in her circle. She made you immediately smile the moment you saw her. Always followed with kind words and a giggle. I loved visiting Matthew as a child. Always hoping for a famous chocolate chip cookie of which I still use her recipe to this day. My heart goes out to the entire Moroz family. I can’t imagine your heart break at this time. Diane will be forever missed. Love to you all. - Posted by: Jessica Anseeuw (Friend) on: Apr 26, 2022

So sorry to hear of Jim's loss of his precious wife Diane. Jim tended his family well and they will need to tend to him during this trying time. Jim was always there for me when I needed help and Mona and I will be there for him when needed. Jim is like an adopted Brother to me and we miss the dine-outs with him and Dinabell before the Covid 19 in 2020. We will share your grief to ease the pain. We first met Diane in 1975, after Jim and I had worked together for a year. It was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. We enjoyed many hours at the kitchen table in their home, sharing stories, having a good laugh. Diane was one of the warmest, most sociable people we had ever had the pleasure to meet, always happy to see you cross her door. We were heartbroken to hear of her passing, but will cherish many beautiful memories of fun times spent together. Our heartfelt condolences to Jim and family, from our family. We think of you often and our hearts are with you during this time. Al and Veronica Cormier and family - Posted by: Al and Veronica Cormier (Friends) on: Apr 23, 2022
