Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • My Uncle Bert was always the “fun” uncle growing up. I remember in the middle of the afternoon one day, all the kids (about 8 of us) loaded up for ice cream. He had a spirit that connected to us as kids, and enjoyed entertaining us. Fun fishing and camping memories as well. I wish I had more opportunities to have conversations and stir those memories ❤️ - Posted by: Sonya bookout (Niece ) on: Apr 28, 2022

  • My condolences to my cousins Ron, Norman and Brian on the passing of their dad. Uncle Bert was unique to say the least. Compared to my other aunts and uncles, uncle Bert seemed like a rebel to me. In a good way! Always outspoken and life of the party. Awesome cook too! One memory I have is he made Chinese food for all my aunts and uncles. Most of them having Chinese food for the very first time. The look on their faces of uncertainty was priceless. Especially when Uncle Bert told them that soya sauce was beetle juice! Lol His pig roasts were over the top too. A really good man who will truly be missed. Rest In Peace Unc! - Posted by: Ralph Sommerfeld (Nephew ) on: Apr 28, 2022

  • Brian, Ron, Norm and Candy as well as all the rest of extended family and friends. My thoughts are with you at this time, it is difficult to say goodbye to our elders and step into their shoes for family unity and continuance. I am confident they are all smiling down with great pride in how you all stayed close. Hugs and much love to you all. - Posted by: Jeanette Fllion (Friend ) on: Apr 27, 2022
