CARMELO SALVATORE D'ANTONIO

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carmelo D'Antonio, a devoted husband, father, son, and brother on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 53 years.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Pauline, his children, Jade, Salvatore, and Lexie; parents, Salvatore and Rosa Maria D'Antonio; sister, Francesca (Paul) nephew Matthew and niece Allyssa; brother, Corrado (Kelly), sister-in-law Lenora (Paul) and niece Larissa.
Melo was a dedicated husband and father, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Melo had a lengthy career in IT and truly loved his job at Western Financial and all his co-workers.
Our family would like to thank GD4 at the Health Sciences Centre and all the doctors, nurses and health care aides that assisted in Melo's care. Melo had a three and a half year battle with a rare form of stomach cancer which spread to his liver; he fought with courage until the day he passed.
In keeping with Melo's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Carmelo may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
The family requests that all those who join with us to celebrate Melo's life to please wear a mask.
