DOUGLAS KAPITANY
January 29, 1948 – April 29, 2022
Surrounded by his loving family, Douglas Kapitany went home to be with his Saviour on April 29, 2022.
Doug will be deeply missed by Judy, his best friend and wife of 51 years and his daughters, Michelle Bloom (Phil) and Megan Scholl (Chris). Doug leaves behind a legacy of beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Hayley (Sean), Sydney, Talia, Reese, Eden, Sayda, Elijah, Ezra, Roselie and Damian. Also left to mourn are his brothers, Bob (Cheryl) and Gerry (Marilyn), many cousins and friends. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Mary Kapitany.
Doug's family kindly requests that his friends and relatives take a few minutes to honour his memory by visiting his tribute page at Friends Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Can DO People, an organization that supports his granddaughter (tax receipts not available).
Celebration of Life to be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St., Winnipeg. The service will be livestreamed at https://fweb.tv/77520.
