MARGARET (MAGDALYNA) BARYLIUK
Sadly, the family announces the peaceful passing of Margaret Baryliuk on April 29, 2022 at the age of 97 at her residence in Winnipeg. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1991.
Left to mourn her loss are her children Nestor (Simone), Iris (Albert), John (Patricia) and Shirley (Taras), 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Margaret was born on August 5, 1924 in Vita, Manitoba to John and Paraskevia Kraynyk. On September 25, 1948 she married Peter Baryliuk. Together, they farmed near Vita where they raised their four children. Margaret was actively involved in all aspects of the farm work. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crocheting and knitting, cooking and gardening. Peter and Margaret left the farm in 1985 and moved to Vita to enjoy their retirement.
She was a devoted member of St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was an active and long serving member of the U.C.W.L. One of her proudest achievements was being a member of the Millennium Choir that sang at the Liturgical Mass given by Pope John Paul II on his Canadian visit.
Funeral Divine Liturgy was celebrated May 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment followed at the St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Parish Cemetery, Vita.

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, at her residence in Winnipeg.
She is survived by her children, Nestor (Simone), Iris (Albert), John (Patricia), Shirley (Taras), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1991.
Funeral service is Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 35 Marcie Street at 10:00 a.m. Masks requested. This obituary can also be viewed at www.korbanchapel.com
