IRA SCOTT DAVISON
December 9, 1942 April 30, 2022
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Scott Davison, who passed peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on April 30, 2022.
He was born to Mary and Frank Davison in Sudbury, Ontario, on December 9, 1942. Upon finishing high school, Scott joined the Canadian Army in 1963 and served in Germany from 1965 to 1969. He then joined the RCMP as a civilian member in Winnipeg and after retiring from the RCMP in 1993 he subsequently joined the RCMP Veteran's Association (MB Division). Scott was an active, enthusiastic, and faithful member of the Christ the King Council of the Knights of Columbus since 1994.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Goebel), whom he married in 1975.
He was an avid reader, particularly history and sports, was crazy about the Jets and Bombers, and loved being with family and friends while celebrating good times, whatever the occasion. Together, Scott and Dorothy enjoyed golfing and their travels took them all over Europe and North America. Upon moving to the Seine River Retirement Residence, they continued to enjoy each other's company; he will be sadly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favourite charity.
A private gravesite service will be held at a later date.

Dot, I am so sorry for your loss. Scottie was a very close friend and it was a great honor to have been the Best Man at your wedding in 1975. I hold so many great memories of Scottie during our working time and our hockey involvement. Even though we lost touch over the years, I thought of you both often. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Rick Johnston (Honored friend and co worker) on: May 08, 2022

My deepest condolences Dorothy on the loss of your husband and best friend. Such a dedicated person working telecoms in 201 over the years. I have so many great memories of Scotty. In particular the Western Canada Hockey tournaments all over western Canada where Scotty was such an important part of our team. Always in a humorous mood - caring and thoughtful best describes my old friend Scotty. Rest In Peace Scotty….. - Posted by: Shane Devlin (Friend ) on: May 08, 2022

Bless your soul, Scotty. Your efficiency and professionalism made the day-to-day lives of countless Canadians so much safer. Your voice in the dark was assuring to hundreds of officers facing unknown dangers. Rest In Peace - Posted by: K-C McCann (Work colleague) on: May 08, 2022

Scotty was dedicated to the 9th degree. A one member patrol checking a vehicle late at night just west of nowhere and there's Scotty's reliable voice coming back with all the information. "Alpha Charlie Delta Niner Niner...". Known so well he was often thanked by first name. Thank you again, Scotty. You were the voice of Telecoms and a lifeline. You will be missed. Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Bob Zed (Co-worker) on: May 07, 2022

Sad day hearing that Scottie has died. I remember Scottie from the late seventies to the early eighties as one voice at the RCMP XJL201 Telecom Section.
