JEAN SCHAMBERGER
(nee SLOBODIAN)
Our much-loved mom, grandma, and great-grandma passed away, May 7, 2022, age 87 years. Family was blessed to be able to fulfill her wish to die comfortably in her home.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Willi in 2018. Missing her are her children, Cheryl and Mike Wilson, Luane Campbell, Arlene and Brent Prokopchuk; grandchildren, Douglas (Tracie), Wayne, Matt (Julia), Mitch (Vicki), Brenden (Rae-lynn), Brett, Bria (Nick); great-grandchildren, Locklyn, Téo, Avery.
Mom was born in Rembrandt, Manitoba September 15, 1934, and resided in East Kildonan for the past 60 years. She dedicated her life to her family, friends and church. Hard-working and determined, forever baking and cooking, she took great pride in her home and entertaining guests who came to visit.
Huge thank-you to the WRHA Palliative Care and Homecare Teams who were invaluable to our family.
A celebration of mom's life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 3:30 p.m., at Grey Street United Church, 651 Sandhurst Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1B1.

So sorry to hear of Aunty Jean's passing. With COVID and no family gatherings over the last two years, it was hard to stay in touch. Her Christmas card didn't mention much news.
