Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Jerome was one of a kind. We met when we were 12. He was the first kid I knew with a BMX. That Huffy was the coolest thing. We spent the next several years being radical! In that time we used his Commodore 64 to go on the internet. Pretty cool for 1984. We saw Van Halen that year too! We spent the winters polishing our bikes in the garage and listening to records on his brothers stereo when he wasn't home. Lol. He was fast when we raced our bikes and his mom always took us to races in their station wagon or in the dodge challenger hatchback. Good times. We even had punk rock band one summer with Mike Dyck. He later got into hair styling and was really good at it. I too lost contact with Jerome when I moved to BC. We did connect once out there but then that was it. I have awesome memories of Jerome in all his uniqueness. He always tested the norm. Learning of his passing was hard news. My heart goes out to the family. So sorry for your loss. I loved Gyro as a brother. Rest in peace my dear friend. - Posted by: Andrew Bate (Friend) on: Aug 31, 2022

  • I met Jerome in junior high and spent a lot of times together driving our bikes and having fun in Transcona. I was always hoping to see you again but unfortunately our paths never crossed. I hope you’re peddling your GT bike in heaven! My condolences to the family. Rest In Peace my friend. - Posted by: Chris Sokalski (Friend ) on: Jun 27, 2022

  • JEROME and our group spent much time together as teenagers training and competitively racing bikes. I hope that you have found some peace and happiness in this next stage. My sincerest condolences to family and friends who had opportunities to spend time with Jerome in the later years - Posted by: Brent Woyna (Friend and long time bike racing avocate) on: Jun 14, 2022

  • I had not seen Jerome in over 30 years, I do have fond memories of riding bikes and racing BMX before we all got drivers licenses. We had a lot of fun. Condolences to his family and friends. - Posted by: Mark Kowalski (freind) on: Jun 13, 2022
