RUTH POERSCH
(HARRON)

Our incredibly strong and beautiful mom, Ruth Poersch passed away peacefully at home with family at her side on Sunday May 1, 2022.
There are so many things we love about our Mom, but her profound kindness and how she truly cared for others was the core of her being and made her such a special person. From that place of love, she made the world beautiful for those around her. We were so lucky to be in her world.
Predeceased by husband Sandy and son Lynn; Ruth leaves to mourn daughters, Merrilin Poersch, Lorane Poersch (Chummy Plummer), Lee-Anne Poersch.
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Ruthie's Angels who helped care for Mom in these later years. We are grateful to Dr. Rumboldt and his assistant Karen, who were always there for Mom. Thank you to the Westhaven and its residents, Chris Billows, the WRHA nurses and Arnold Chew.
Mom's greatest aspiration was to be a good person. Her kindness, her sense of humour, her sense of justice and her curiosity about everything will always be an inspiration. In honour of Mom's life, please share a kindness with others.
Funeral arrangements are pending. Doyle's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.

  • Ruth was a great contributor to the community of Brunkild. She was always willing to share her vast expertise in education, music, community events and any other way she could to advance the community of Brunkild and beyond. She brought out the best in people. She was always encouraging to others. Not only was she generous with her time, she made a big difference in my family's life by contributing hand-me-downs from her girls, to my girls. As a mother of a bunch of girls, she was supportive and encouraging to me with my own growing bunch of girls. Her great sense of humour saw many people through difficult times. She was a great lady and will be missed by all. We offer our condolences to you all. - Posted by: Heather Bunkowsky (Friend & Community Member in Brunkild) on: May 17, 2022

  • My deepest heartfelt condolences to the family of Ruth. I had the pleasure of meeting this lovely lady while I was still working in nursing in 2019. She was truly a woman of strength and integrity and held such love and adoration for her daughters. During this difficult time, may you find peace and comfort in the cherished memories of your beautiful Mom. - Posted by: Kathie (acquaintance) on: May 14, 2022

  • Iā€™m sorry for the loss of your mom, Ruth. I have many memories of her from years gone by. Ruth played at my wedding in October of 1968 on a very ancient pedal organ. I also remember her for teaching a craft class in the old Brunkild school. And of course I remember her for her lovely smile and friendly presence. May God surround you with love and peace as you entrust your mom to the Lord. - Posted by: Kolleen Karlowsky-Clark (Student) on: May 14, 2022
