MAUREEN LILYAN MORIN
1945 - 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Lilyan Morin on May 5, 2022 at the Health Sciences Centre.
Maureen was predeceased by her parents, John and Irene Koehler. She is survived by the many friends she made from childhood to the present.
Maureen was born and educated in Winnipeg. She was a brilliant learner with a most unique sometimes eccentric personality. She received a BSC Pharmacy from the University of Manitoba and worked in Whitehorse, Saskatoon and Winnipeg. Love of reading, listening to CBC radio, music and vacations in Hawaii were favourites. She was a devoted member of St. Saviour's Anglican Church. Cats were her chosen companions and over the years she provided a home for many. During winter months, she scattered food in her backyard for the various other creatures in her area. Many organizations were the recipients of Maureen's heart of gold as she never hesitated when asked to contribute.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
We wish to extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. J. Wheeler and the healthcare staff of GD4 Health Sciences Centre for their excellent and compassionate care of Maureen.
If desired, donations can be made in her memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, or a charity of choice.

Maureen was an inspirational friend. She took me under her wings when I first graduated from pharmacy school and taught me so much in the area of ophthalmology and renal patient care. I enjoyed working with her and learning from her over the years. Her guidance and mentorship was profound and I am grateful to have had her in my life! She will be greatly missed. - Posted by: kristine petrasko (Colleague/Friend) on: May 27, 2022
