BRENDA FRIESEN August 16, 1965 - April 15, 2022 IIt is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Brenda Friesen, 56, of Steinbach, Manitoba. Brenda resided at Bethesda Place Care Home where she passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022. Brenda was predeceased by her parents David and Elisabeth "Betty" Friesen and her son Joel Penner. She is survived by her son Andrew (Nancy) and her beloved grandchildren Haley with whom she had a very special bond, Colten, Catherine, Crystal, and Carson. Her daughter Gordanna, although only known for a short time, was given up for adoption at birth, but the love of a child always remains in a mother's heart. Sister Linda (Pete) and their children Cory (Christine), Mark (Chantelle) and Nathan, along with her great nieces and nephews. Mom's great love was always shared with her family. Visits were full of laughter, teasing, and stories of her shih tzu friend Dusty, she adored Dusty. Mom loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible and praying. Each visit expressing how much she loved to hear Andy pray! Collecting jewelry, ordering from Avon, reading, and watching movies were some of her favourite hobbies. Mom loved to get her hair done and her fingernails painted. She enjoyed flowers, keeping care of her plants, and watching the birds feed at her window. Mom will forever be lovingly remembered and sadly missed. The public funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 1:00pm at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with the interment to follow at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Brenda can be made to Bethesda Place Care Home. The Family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Bethesda Place staff that cared for Mom over the many years.
