I recall being sent to the Principal’s Office for some “reprehensible misdemeanour” at Prince Edward School. Charlie was mortified to see Uncle Bert’s youngest in the principal’s office! What to do? So, he quietly had me read some of my English book assigned homework, then ….. after the bell sounded the end of classes for the day, he gave me a ride home. Normally I had to walk, but not that time. It was raining, so I appreciated the lift. I never mentioned anything to Mom or Dad. He never did either. Nice memory. - Posted by: Rev. Howard D.
