KRZYWDZINSKI


On Sunday, May 15, 2022, Stasha passed away at Holy Family Home.
Predeceased by her husband Adolf; daughter Irene; both parents and two sisters.
Stasha was a devoted wife to Adolf; mother to Irene; grandmother to Yolanda (Duane) and Kasia (aka Cathy) (Robert) and great-grandmother to Jesse, Cole, Samantha and Logan.
She sang in the Holy Ghost Church choir at St. Cecilia in her early days. She loved medical research, for 20 years she worked for the University of Manitoba research department. She belonged to the Association of Microbiologists. Microbiology was her first start, then Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Immunology and finally the Cardio-Renal Unit at Health Sciences Centre. Stasha was a past vice-president of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Royal Canadian Legion, Andrew Mynarski V. C. Br. 34. She also belonged to the Ladies Circle, Emilia Platter at the Polish Combatants Association Branch 13 for over 50 years. In 1993, Stasha was General Secretary in SPK Club 13. She volunteered her time in the community and for over 13 years she collected donations for the Polish refugees in the East. Stasha enjoyed writing poetry about where she grew up in Zascianocze and Trembowla, Poland.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. located at Wojcik's Funeral Chapel on 1020 Main Street. For those who wish, viewing will be prior. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street, West St. Paul.
Babcia will be greatly missed by her family, nieces, nephews and extended family worldwide.
