Dave and family - So sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. It’s been a long time since we were on Burning Bush. He was the first person we met from the street. We had moved in just before the September long weekend and were in the process of building our cottage. Nothing but rain all weekend- we got rained out of our tents and camper trailer and had to move in to the very unfinished cottage. I came home from the lake with Linda and Lori a bit earlier than Harry because they had to start their new school the next day. Lo and behold there had been a water main break on our side of the street. Your dad met us when we pulled in and he had gotten some water for us from the water truck on the street which by that time was empty. I’ve never forgotten that very welcome act of kindness and thoughtfulness. Met Ed many years ago when I was driver/salesman with 7 UP and Ed was an Old Dutch employee. Ed later married Olga, who was a life long friend of ours and in our wedding party. Sincere condolences to the family. " Remember the good times " - Posted by: Don and Lynne Bruce (Aquaitance) on: May 21, 2022
