Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Dennis & I were tsfd. to 220 Portage in 1980 for "training" for an assignment of business lending. This was prior to the move to the 9th floor from the main floor. A shortage of space placed us on the mezzanine in the current account dept. face to face as our desks were butted together. Given what was crossing our desks and working in the boonies we referred to ourselves "mushrooms". It was apprropiate! Every time we crossed paths that's how we greeted each other. Dennis & I were both members of the Kinsmen Club. Great guy, we enjoyed working together. He will be missed. - Posted by: Gord Wyatt (friend/co-worker) on: Jun 01, 2022

  • Just became aware of Dennis’s passing and want to extend to you and his family my most sincere condolences. Really enjoyed working with Dennis when we were both located on the ninth floor of 220 Portage Ave. As so often happens, we lost touch for many years but connected again at the annual Legion lunch last November. Such a pleasure to chat with him and share memories including the time Joan and I were treated to your wonderful carrot pie, which I thought was pumpkin. Total surprise. Again, my sincere sympathy. - Posted by: Ron Boyd (Work colleague) on: Jun 01, 2022

  • I loved spending time at the Davis's house when I was growing up. They always welcomed me into their family circle and were so kind to me. I will always cherish those times, swimming, bbqing and just hanging out. Dennis was a big part of my swimming days, the swim dad, officiating and driving us to the pool. I have many fond memories of Dennis, funny ones too and feeling very thankful for all the time spent with Dennis and family. May you rest in peace Dennis. Thank you for sharing your time with me. - Posted by: Heather Flynn (Family Friend) on: May 22, 2022

  • I meet Dennis 8 years ago at the library where I work. He was a regular patron whom loved reading: I enjoyed our interactions and small talk. I’m also saddened I will no longer see his smile and check out his books for him. It was a pleasure knowing Dennis. My heart goes out to Denisce and the ready of Dennis’s family. Rest well In paradise Dennis. - Posted by: Cheryl Hill (Friend) on: May 22, 2022
