CHRISTINE SINGBEIL
(nee PESTRAK)
August 6, 1929 May 13, 2022
With her daughter at her side, Christine Singbeil passed away peacefully at Golden West Centennial Lodge at the age of 92 years.
She is survived by her son Rick; daughter-in-law Anne; daughter Linda; grandson Darren Penner; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Pestrak and Marlene Singbeil and numerous nieces and nephews.
Christine was predeceased in 2013 by her husband Arthur; her grandson Steven in 2018; her parents and all her brothers and sisters.
Christine was born in Bender Hamlet (Narcisse), Manitoba, and moved to Winnipeg in 1947. Christine was the youngest daughter of 18 children born to John and Justyna Pestrak.
Christine was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother. She took pleasure in tending to her flower gardens and pickling and preserving the many vegetables she grew. She also enjoyed bowling in a five-pin league for many years. In 1990, Christine was blessed with the birth of twin grandsons, who brought her great joy and she loved spending time with them.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the home care and facility staff at The Westhaven and the health care aides, nurses and staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge for their care of Christine in her final years. She loved you all and appreciated the kindness extended to her.
To avoid the possibility of spreading Covid 19, Christine's family will be holding a private graveside service with only immediate family present. Christine will be laid to rest with her husband of 63 years by her side at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Together again is a beautiful place to be
