(nee KWAST)
Mrs. Adele Chartier (nee Kwast), of Winnipeg, Manitoba, died on the morning of Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Born in Lubsin, Poland in 1932, Adele arrived alone in Canada when she was 16 years old. In Saskatchewan and later in Manitoba, Adele built a community of close friends and family.
For many years Adele was the center of social gatherings for her family and friends. Adele loved fishing, Saturday night card games, and travelling in Western Canada to festivals and other events.
Adele was predeceased by her husband, Auguste Chartier; parents, Gustav and Emma Kwast; and her five siblings. Her passing is mourned by daughters, Maxine and Rita (Guy); granddaughters, Rebecca (Grant), Ashley (Steve) and Kelly (Pat); and great-grandchildren, Heather and Jaxson.
Adele's family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Riverside Lions Seniors Residences for the compassion and support provided to Adele and her family.
A private family gathering was held on Wednesday May 18, 2022.
