My condolences to Chava on the passing of your mother Iris and to all her family. May she Rest In Peace - Posted by: Harriett Wolfe (Aunt to chava) on: May 30, 2022
I’ve wanted many times during her illness to ask Iris, what the most beautiful memory of her life was. She incidentally answered, talking about her family and friends: each encounter that made her soul vibrating, was the most beautiful one. And she had many of those. I’ve met Iris due to our beloved Folklorama Festival. She entered exuberantly in the Romanian Pavilion, checked the Cultural Display, tested our food, and kept praising our Culinary Display. She told me she wants to learn the language which she sort of knew a little bit, as her parents, the Croitoru Family, moved to Israel from Piatra Neamt, Romania She loved the tasty Romanian food and even got the book of with the tasty Romanian recipes. She asked me to cook for her eggplant salad, mamaliga, fish with garlic, cabbage rolls, cozonac, and many other tasty goodies, reminiscent of her childhood. We became buddies and for the last ten years we had very uniquely funny or deeply constructive moments together. When her heart and soul was vibrating, she’d look to me, and say a phrase her father used to say lovingly to her mother, in Romanian “Ce Balabusta esti! “ … “What a super great woman you are”. I am returning it to you, my dear strong, beautiful, full of love for your children and family, stoic and always positive, FRIEND! May you find a place between the happiest and funniest of stars! You know, as I told you already, how great it was to meet and share with you so many lovely moments! I’ll be around for your children, if they ask me for help and advice! May you Rest In Peace! - Posted by: Camelia Stefanovici (Friend) on: May 29, 2022
Sincere condolences Chava and Lior on the passing of your loved mother. Iris, Z.L. was a good woman, mother, a good friend. She loved her parents, sisters, and her brother and her children. She loved to be happy, to laugh, and cook. She was strong, hero. Sad and painful for us. We will remember Iris forever. Sara and Ariel Haviv. - Posted by: Sara Haviv (Cousin) on: May 29, 2022
Although we never met, I WAS MOST IMPRESSED WITH THE BEAUTIFUL PERSON Iris (Z"L) was, and am shocked she is now gone, but never forgotten.....She was a very loving and caring person to her family and friends, and such a ray of sunshine in all her emails....MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO ALL HER LOVED ONES AND MANY FRIENDS. MAY HER MEMORY BE FOR A BLESSING!!! I TOO AM SADDENED BY READING OF YOUR HUGE LOSS OF A VERY "Special PERSON" as she was.......Sadly, Esther Weinstein, of Vancouver. - Posted by: Esther Weinstein (Friend on the Internet) on: May 27, 2022
Sincere condolences Lior and Chana on the passing of your beloved mother. Her larger than life personality, kindness and huge heart will be missed by all who knew her. You, her children were her greatest gifts and she was so proud of the adults you had become. Rest In Peace, Iris. Eileen Curtis AKA Morah C. - Posted by: Eileen Curtis (Friend) on: May 27, 2022
