KLEIN: It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of Glenda Dawn Klein (nee Lidster), age 58 years, of Kelowna, BC on December 9, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Glenda was born October 3, 1963 in Brandon, MB to Glen and Audrey Lidster. Glenda attended Green Acres and Valleyview Elementary schools and Vincent Massey High School, where she graduated in 1981. She then went to Brandon University for one year and was accepted to BGH School of Nursing and graduated as an RN in 1984. Glenda started her nursing career at Brandon General Hospital from July 1984 to August 1990. She moved to Winnipeg in September 1990, where her nursing career continued at Grace Hospital, Maples Surgical Centre, Concordia Hospital, Blood Conservation Nurse Coordinator at HSC, and the Access Transcona Primary Care Clinic as a Nurse 3, where she retired from on September 4, 2018. Glenda loved being a nurse and touched so many people's lives. The only thing she loved more was being a mom to her girls, Amber and Ashley. Glenda enjoyed a wide variety of activities including horseback riding, running marathons, camping and traveling. She travelled to Barbados, Mexico, Cuba, Italy, Germany, Austria, Hawaii and many other places in the United States and Canada. After retiring, Glenda moved to Kelowna, BC with Don Mott in the fall of 2018 to continue her adventure. Glenda is greatly missed by her daughters Amber Klein and Ashley Klein; their father Dean Klein; parents Glen and Audrey Lidster; sisters Laura-Lee (Ron) Lauder and Terrilyn (Mario) Floresco, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and many close friends. She will also be missed by her partner Don Mott, who was with her throughout her battle and holding her hand at the end. A private graveside service was held Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium.
