Suddenly on May 19, 2022, at Selkirk Hospital, Joanne took her last flight at the young age of 68. She was predeceased by her parents Orest and Rose Juskow.
Remaining to mourn her passing are her husband of 46 years, Artur (Art) Eck, and her sister Holly Gay Juskow, and many friends she made over the years. Her cockatoo Rosie and dog Gizmo miss her deeply.
Joanne had a unique motto that she lived by: "You have one flight through life, fly first class"
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Arthur, so sorry for your loss. When I think of Joanne, I have nothing but good things to say. I loved working with her as she always had time for snacks. Joanne could put together a snack in no time at all. Joanne always had a kind heart and could find a sale "faster than you could say 50% off" It was a pleasure working with her and even better being her neighbour. She once even mailed me a cake thru inter-office mail because she wanted me have some cake. Joanne will be surely missed. - Posted by: Mark Bishop (Friend, neighbour and work buddy) on: May 29, 2022
Dear Art, no words can express the shock I felt when I read of Joanne's passing. Joanne and I met through Art over 40 yrs ago, we shared many a fun evening at their house in the North End. She was a big factor in my getting a job at Anixter which changed my life. Her generous, caring, and love of animals was close to none. RIP Joanne, a beautiful lady taken to soon. - Posted by: Lorraine Bryck (Friend) on: May 28, 2022
I worked with Joanne many years ago at the City. I still remember her long red hair and cute smile. She always talked about her hubby and her dogs Prayers going to the family - Posted by: Moira Smith (Friend) on: May 28, 2022
