I was so sad to hear of Carlette’s passing. My condolences to the Tynes and Ashley and Pruden families. I met Carlette when her son Vernon and daughter Melanie were in my class for Junior high. We became friends and Carlette and I remained in touch after her kids moved on to high school. Vernon also stayed in touch for a few years. Carlette and I continued to talk occasionally. We always had a few laughs and often talked for over an hour. The last time we spoke was about a year ago when I was retiring. We talked about getting together, but had not yet done so. Carlette was a special Mum who was a strong advocate for her children. I am grateful for her friendship and will miss our conversations and her laughter. - Posted by: Donna Mills (Friend ) on: Jun 17, 2022

To the Tynes and Ashley families, my deepest heartfelt sympathies. Carlette and I were more like brother and Sister. Our long distance phone calls would last for hours. My visits to Winnipeg always found us into something that became a celebration. Car, your laugh will be with me forever and I’ll never meet another person that will say “Good” in your special way that could leave me with tears rolling down my face. Nothing but LOVE LITTLE Sis I miss you. A. - Posted by: Avaard Johnson-Thrush (Family friend) on: Jun 10, 2022
