• I was so sad to hear of Carlette’s passing. My condolences to the Tynes and Ashley and Pruden families. I met Carlette when her son Vernon and daughter Melanie were in my class for Junior high. We became friends and Carlette and I remained in touch after her kids moved on to high school. Vernon also stayed in touch for a few years. Carlette and I continued to talk occasionally. We always had a few laughs and often talked for over an hour. The last time we spoke was about a year ago when I was retiring. We talked about getting together, but had not yet done so. Carlette was a special Mum who was a strong advocate for her children. My visits to Winnipeg always found us into something that became a celebration.
