(JOHN) RAYMOND STADFELD
March 10, 1934 – May 20, 2022

It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that the family announces Ray's passing.
He will be remembered by Julie, his wife of 50 years, beloved daughter Raylene and cherished grandchildren, Samantha and Connor. Also his McIvor stepchildren and grandchildren: Richard, Jim, David, Rhonda, Margaret, Marie, Bruce and Arthur; he also leaves behind brother Barry, sisters, June, Shirley, Sharron, Lynda, Irene, Laverne and Dawn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Eidur and Fern, sisters, Joy and Marlie, beloved nephew Christopher Baker.
Ray was a very strong, dedicated man who worked the family farm in Fisher Branch, breaking land, raising livestock and harvesting crops. As a successful, fearless hunter he put deer and moose on the family table. After he retired, at 75 years of age, he moved to Selkirk, Manitoba. There he dedicated his time to his passionate love of music, playing the guitar and violin, enjoying entertaining the residents of the care home with Johnny Cash renditions. He managed to always remember family birthdays with phone calls and cards in the mail.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Red River Place in Selkirk, Manitoba for their care and compassion. Also he had a special appreciation and much love for his sister Lynda with her care and attention to his needs in his later years.
A memorial service will be held on June 22, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB.
