Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • My sincere condolences to the families. I worked side by side with Nancy at the Board of Commisioners, the City of Winnipeg and she was a wonderful friend and co-worker. When she retired from the city I took over her job working with Mr. Gagnon, the CFO. I always remember her calling the kids Kyle and Megan (she called her sweet pea) and telling them what to do to get supper started and they did. She was a dedicated worker all the years I worked with her and a great mom, wife, friend. Rest In Peace Nancy. - Posted by: Isabel Vieira (Co-worker at the City of Winnipeg) on: Jun 06, 2022

  • Kyle, Megan and Mr. DeVisser, I was very saddened to read about the passing of your mom/wife. My heart goes out to your family, as you mourn a special person. I remember your mom/wife as being very friendly and always cheerful. May your special memories of her bring you some peace. With deepest sympathy. - Posted by: Naomi Guse (Kyle’s and Megan’s grade 3 teacher) on: Jun 05, 2022

  • My love, thoughts, and prayers are with Uncle Don, Megan, Kyle, Kim, Mike, their babies, and the rest of the family during this time. Auntie Nancy will truly be missed by so many. I remember fondly the days as a kid spent at Uncle Don and Auntie Nancy's cottage, the numerous family gatherings over the years, and I'm sad that the last few years have been so restricted with COVID that we couldn't have enjoyed more of those moments as a group. Most of all, I will miss Auntie's wonderful and infectious laugh, her kindness and generosity. Until we meet again. Sending all of my love, Jacklyn - Posted by: Jacklyn de Visser (Niece) on: Jun 01, 2022

  • I have had the privilege of working with Nancy and she was a dedicated and committed individual to her role at work. She was an easy going person to deal with and as I got to know her more, she had a big heart and was just a sincere all "together" person that was always willing to help and always had time to life your spirits. She was a wonderful person and will be missed. My sincerest condolences to the family. - Posted by: Debby Hando (Former colleague) on: Jun 01, 2022
