SISTER LILLIAN CLARK, D.W.
February 15, 1936 - May 15, 2022
Sister Lillian passed away peacefully in Ottawa, in the presence of the caring and dedicated Sisters of her religious community, the Daughters of Wisdom.
She grew up in Brandon, MB, the daughter of George and Georgeline (Lavallee) Clark, who, as well as her infant sister, Caroline Joan Clark, predeceased her.
Lillian was a student of St. Michael's Academy and a parishioner of St. Augustine's of Canterbury parish in Brandon, MB. In 1957, she made the decision to enter the convent of the RNDM congregation (Our Lady of the Missions) in Regina, SK. After a period of time there, she transferred to the Daughters of Wisdom Novitiate in Ottawa, ON and made her profession of vows in that order at the Mother House in France in 1960.
Her years of religious service were spent as a teacher in Catholic schools in Alberta and Ottawa. A gifted musician, she shared her music with her congregation, schools and other churches. It gave her pleasure to serve as the pianist for the Blind Choir in Ottawa for many years.
She is survived by all of the dear Sisters in her religious community and by her family sisters, Marjorie (John) Murphy and Jeanette (James) Popplow of Winnipeg, MB and Noreen Duchene of Yankton, SD, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, left to mourn her passing.
Lillian was predeceased by her stepfather Olier Perreault and stepbrothers, Firmin, Jacques and Albert Perreault. She is survived by her stepsister Jeanne (Jack) Englebretson of Brandon, MB; stepbrother Alfred (Jeanine) Perreault of St. Lazare, MB and stepsister Janis Perreault of Emerson, MB.
In her memory, if friends so desire, a memorial donation may be sent to the Daughters of Wisdom, Fonds Missi-Sagesse - Fondation Internationale Roncalli, 9001, boulevard de l'Acadie, bureau 700, Montreal, QC H4N 3H7.
