JULIA CHOCHOLACEK
With great sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of our loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. On the morning of April 19, 2022, Julia passed away at Sunset Lodge, Victoria, BC, with family at her side.
She was predeceased by her husband Blazej Chocholacek (2005) and son Paul Chocholacek (2020). Julia was born in Slazany, Slovakia on April 2, 1931 and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1969 with her husband and children. Julia enjoyed spending time with her family, travelling on vacations, and gardening. She moved to Victoria with her daughter Silvia Macsai and son-in-law Carlo Massaroni in 2019 and enjoyed beautiful Vancouver Island, walks on Ocean Boulevard and many visits to Butchart Gardens. Julia loved her grandchildren, Nicholas Macsai, Victoria Thede (Keith).
A family graveside service was held on May 4, 2022 at the Green Acres Cemetery in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she was laid to rest next to her loving husband Blazej.
Mom, you will be in our hearts forever.
