MICHAEL ALAN STEWART
Born August 9, 1962, peacefully passed away on June 2, 2022, at St. Boniface Hospital.
He is survived by his 3 brothers, Bob (Carol) Stewart, Bill Stewart, Pat (Jean) Stewart, 3 sisters, Penny (Al) Plamondon, Carol Kollay, Maureen (Mike) Davidson, along with nieces and nephews who were able to share some laughs and memories before he left.
Mike loved spending time with family and friends. He had nicknames for everyone and if you didn't, he would give you one. Mike loved making people laugh. Anyone who knew him, knew he liked his Pepsi and pot. He loved watching movies, football, and hockey, listening to music and bands. He enjoyed going out for breakfast at the Southdale Village Family Restaurant and he loved the staff (like they were family).
He so much appreciated and loved the Palliative Care staff on the 8th Floor of the St. Boniface Hospital and the Radiation team at CancerCare MB.
As per Mike's wishes, there will be no service or Celebration of Life.
We love you and
We'll miss you
Rest in peace Mike

I worked with Mike and his sister Maureen, yes Mike Davidson, you too, for over a decade and we had a pretty tight group. After I left, we saw very little of each other but I still thought very highly of him and his family, yes Pat, even you! I just found out of Mike's passing and am sad I never knew he was sick and never got to patch things up between us...to this day I still think of him as one of my best friends and he will be missed by so many...I'm glad he got to see his bombers win back to back cups! I'll miss you big Mike, your friend Chris De Boeck - Posted by: Chris De Boeck (Friend) on: Aug 04, 2022

A lovely man who was always kind and cheerful inspite of the the tremendous challenges his illness put him through everyday. The world was a better place with Mike in it and we're all going to miss that beautiful smile. So unfair. - Posted by: Chris Parry (Friend ) on: Jun 18, 2022

I met mike in the 80s, we often joked about being born in 1962 and how we were a special breed. Mike always put a smile on my face, we shared many laughs. We didn’t see much of each other as the years went by, but I would run into him at Safeway from time to time. Truley one of the nicest people I ever met. Miss you Mike and was a pleasure knowing you. - Posted by: Brian Laurier (Friend) on: Jun 07, 2022
