Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySUTHERLAND: It is with great sadness the family announce the tragic passing of Dean on Monday, June 6, 2022 in a motor vehicle accident. Dean is survived by his daughters Madison and Carly and their mother Andrea; parents Dan and Iris; sister Lisa (Barry) Chapman, nephews Zachary and Tanner and niece Arianna. Also left to mourn his passing are several aunts, uncles and cousins. Dean was predeceased by his grandparents Tom and Bud Sutherland and Peter Prokopchuk and Great Uncle Mike Prokopchuk. Grandmother Nellie Prokopchuk passed away five days after Dean. Dean was born in Brandon on January 22, 1969. He grew up in Meadows and then Riverheights areas. He attended Meadows Elementary School and then graduated from Vincent Massey in 1986. He then obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Brandon University in 1990. Dean was then prestigiously accepted into the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and graduated in May 1994 in the top 4% of his graduating class and excelled in all areas of his studies. Dean was always reading and continuing to learn and was always a great resource for anything medically related. During his school years in Toronto, Dean met, and later married Andrea Paton and they were blessed with two beautiful daughters. Many years later, Dean and Andrea parted ways and Dean continued living in Bradenton and practicing Chiropractic, always providing the most compassionate care for all his patients. Dean never turned away a client, a friend or anyone in need and always put them ahead of himself. At the opinion of his many patients, the family heard multiple times, no other doctor could compare to Dean on every level., His personality, infectious smile and healing hands were second to none. Dr. Dean was a proud owner of a few different Chiropractic offices over the years in Florida. The last one was Chiro Recovery and Rehab. He was privileged to work with many amazing doctors and staff members over the years. Dean had many interests over the years, both in Canada as well as in Florida. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. He owned many different sports cars, he loved to watch motorcycle races, go deep sea fishing, riding his sea-doos, heading out to the Tampa Bay Lightning games with Dad and his buddies, making the most amazing guacamole and many signature dishes, but most of all support and watch his girls in every activity from soccer to dance, horse training, school programs with animals and always helped them with all their achievements. Summers were spent in Clear Lake growing up. The family was always boating, water skiing, golfing and loving lake life together. Clear Lake holds a special place in all our hearts and Dean could always be found hanging out with his buddies right until his time of passing. In his childhood years, a special influence that molded him in many ways was his Great Uncle Mike. They could always be found building or repairing something electronic, reading or playing cards and fishing. He also had a special relationship with his Uncle Orv. Dean had numerous motorcycles over the years, and unfortunately a serious accident took him away from his practice and it was after that Dean returned to Canada. He moved to Calgary to help out his sister's family business for 3 years, then moved back to Brandon and then Onanole. He recently had started a job with Minty Movers and loved working long days in the sunshine as it was a total change of career path for a short time. He always loved Florida weather and that lifestyle and was actively talking about returning some day in the future. Unfortunately, Dean did not get that opportunity to return. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all his patients over the years. The Celebration of Dean's Life will take place at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church, 635 McDiarmid Drive, Brandon on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Kurt Ardron officiating. For those not able to attend in person, the service will be webcast on Dean's memorial page at www.memorieschapel.com. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Life Well Lived
A life well lived
is a precious gift,
of hope and strength
and grace
from someone who
has made our world
a brighter, better place.
It's filled with moments, sweet and sad
with smiles and
sometimes tears,
with friendships formed and good times shared,
and laughter
through the years.
A life well lived is a legacy
of joy and pride and pleasure,
a living, lasting memory
our grateful hearts will treasure.
