BLAIR PAUL DELVEAUX

It is with much sadness that the family of their beloved Blair announce his death due to Covid on June, 4, 2022 at the Grace Hospital as he continued his courageous fight with Glioblastoma.
He was a wonderful husband to Debra, a proud father to Matthew and Bailey, a loving son to Paul and Lillian, a good sibling to Brent (Victoria) and their children, Nicholas and Cassie and to Melody (Scott) and their children, Teagan, Malik and Téa. He also leaves to mourn his brother-in-law Daryl (Kathy) and their children, Lochlan and Ryland, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his in-laws, David and Bev Chapiel.
Blair was born in Shoal Lake, MB in 1967. Over the next six years, he moved with his parents to Russell, Ethelbert, St. Rose du Lac, lastly to Winnipeg in 1973. Blair attended Lacerte, St. Paul's High School and The University of Manitoba, where he graduated with his BA.
Blair followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Royal Bank in 1990. He loved the bank, worked with great people and enjoyed his many years working in a number of branches. Some of his fondest memories were from his time in Kenora and in his final role as Manager for Financial Planners in Winnipeg. Blair was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in 2020 and continued to live his life to the fullest and worked for as long as he could.
Blair's world revolved around his family. He met the love of his life, Debra, at university and they were married on June 1, 1991. He loved his wife dearly and his children immensely. He attended and supported his children in their activities and interests. They loved to travel and spent much time at the cottage. Blair also enjoyed curling with his good buddies, as well as fishing in Kenora with their friends, Angela, Steve, Craig and Amy. A favourite of his was the RBC golf tournament in Clear Lake every June.
Blair was well liked by all, being described as a true gentleman, good hearted and kind. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Special thanks to the Grace Hospital for their wonderful care at the end, especially Dr. George and nurse Natalie, as well as his oncologist Dr. Harlos at CancerCare. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Blair's wish was for donations to be made in his name to Brain Cancer research, CancerCare Manitoba or the Glioblastoma research department in Winnipeg.
