MARY LAWRENCE

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Mary Lawrence on June 6, 2022.
Mary Just celebrated her 100th birthday on March 26, 2022.
Mary is survived by her son Murray Lawrence (Marie) and their children, Nancy, Crystal (Brad) and her great-grandchildren, Julie, Kailee, Kaitlynn and Kinsley.
Mary is predeceased by her husband Walter and children, Clarence, Janice, Marlene and Wayne. Mary also had many nieces and nephews. Mary was born March 26, 1922 in Alonsa, MB
Mary was a very religious woman and attended church faithfully. Mary donated and devoted much of her spare time to St. Gerard Roman Catholic Church that she was a member for over 70 years. Mary loved to sing in the church choir. She loved to attend church functions, where she even travelled as far as Jerusalem and Rome to see the pope at the Vatican. It is Mary's faith that sustained her when life got tough.
Mary worked hard all of her life, she worked for the WRHA for many years until she retired at the age of 89. Mary's dedication led her to look after client's half her age. Mary loved working in her garden, picking apples from her tree and spending many evenings in her gazebo.
Mary is at peace now, though we will miss her very much we know she is watching down on all of us.
Prayers will be said on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at St. Gerard Church, 45 Foster Street. Interment will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery, Portage La Prairie, MB.
