JUDITH HAZEL BILAK
1942 - 2022

It is with unbelievable sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Nana, Aunt, and friend. Mom passed in the early hours of June 9, 2022.
Our family wishes to send our thanks to the excellent care that Mom received at the Grace Hospital. We thank those that have sent beautiful flowers and shared some of their memories of mom.
Mom has requested no service and true to form, has written her own obituary that will follow. As per Mom's request, cremation has already taken place, arrangements by Voyage Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, in a private family gathering. Mom will be greatly missed, and your memory cherished forever. We love you Mom, love you, love you, love you.
I am writing my own obituary because I didn't want someone to try and write a "glowing" report of me. My two great accomplishments in life was having beautiful daughters, Traci (Mark) Carver and Debbie (Marcello) Capitano, who in turn, blessed me with three beautiful and handsome grandchildren, Anthony, Celina and Gavin. I always tried to do the best for my family. I didn't always do the right thing or say the right thing and if I hurt anyone, I am truly sorry. I was born in Winnipeg, April 3, 1942, to Perry and Mary Coldwell (1982 and 1985). I lived all my life in Winnipeg except for a year or so in Portage La Prairie. I am predeceased by my parents, husband Bob (2018), brothers, Roy (2009), Bill (2009), Don (2000), two sisters, Edith (2007) and Beth (1972) and special nephew Tony (2018). Not to mention all the cats and dogs we had that loved me unconditionally. I am survived by my daughters, Traci of La Salle and Debbie of St. Andrews. My three wonderful grandchildren, Anthony, Celina, Gavin and my special nieces, Joy Orsini, Kathy Labossiere, Susanne Savery and her wonderful husband Mike Betker from Ferndale, Washington. If you think of me, do something really nice for someone, adopt a dog or give someone a hug. "Till we meet again". Judy
P.S. Please play "How Great Thou Art" and "American Trilogy" (very loudly) both by Elvis, Amazing Grace by James Lent Orchestra, and think of me for a while.
