ANNETTE JULIETTE MARIE BOUCHARD
(née DESROSIERS)
1932 - 2022

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Annette Bouchard on June 13, 2022 at the age of 89 years, at Actionmarguerite Saint-Boniface, surrounded by her family. She has gone on to join her beloved Roland, who was surely waiting for her with open arms.
Annette's memory will be forever cherished by her children, René (Michèle), Denis (Tannis), Roger (Debbie), Yvonne (Jim Evans) and Anita (Ernie Kruk); grandchildren, Danielle (Richard Zirk and children, Chloé and Nolin), Gerald (and son Félix), Eric (and children, Amélie and Maxim), Jenny, Sara, Brianne, Jordan, Shelley (Tyler Creighton and son Brady), Daryl (Amanda), Brittany (David Sibbick), Andrew, Ryan and Caitlyn. She will be sadly missed by her sister Hélène Brooks and husband Lorne, her sister-in-law Eva Fontaine and husband Norbert, as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Annette was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Roland in 2012; parents, Auguste and Marie Anne Desrosiers; sisters, Thérèse Légaré, Lucille Desrosiers, Angèle Mignon; and brothers, Maurice, Paul and Jean (Johnny).
Annette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher and caregiver. She especially adored her 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her family was the centre of her world, and we all felt her pride and joy when together with her. Her deep faith, quiet strength, and selfless devotion leave behind a strong and loving family legacy.
She was born and spent her formative years in Ste. Anne, Manitoba. Annette's career as an educator started with her graduation from Normal School in 1952. Her first teaching years were spent in St. Eustache, St-Georges and Fisher Branch, where she met and fell in love with Roland. Following the birth of their five children and a move to Winnipeg in 1965, she returned to teaching at École Précieux-Sang, including 23 years teaching Grade 5, until she retired in 1991. She was highly dedicated to the success of all her students and is fondly remembered by many.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Roxanne Beaudette, and the nurses and staff at Actionmarguerite Saint-Boniface, Unit 3DE, for their wonderful care and compassion over the last year and especially during Mom's final weeks.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at l'Église du Précieux-Sang (Precious Blood Church), 200 Kenny Street, with viewing one hour prior to service time. Service livestream / recording will be available at https://youtu.be/a8v_EniuyZA.
For those who desire and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Actionmarguerite Foundation, the Canadian Celiac Association – Manitoba Chapter, or the charity of their choice.

Entourée de sa famille, Annette Bouchard est décédée le 13 juin 2022 à Actionmarguerite Saint-Boniface. Elle est allée retrouver son bien-aimé Roland qui l'attendait sûrement à bras ouverts. Née le 1er décembre 1932, elle était âgée de 89 ans.
Annette laisse dans le deuil ses enfants René (Michèle), Denis (Tannis), Roger (Debbie), Yvonne (Jim Evans) et Anita (Ernie Kruk); ses très chers petits-enfants Danielle (Richard Zirk et jeunes Chloé et Nolin), Gerald (et fils Félix), Eric (et enfants Amélie et Maxim), Jenny, Sara, Brianne, Jordan, Shelley (Tyler Creighton et fils Brady), Daryl (Amanda), Brittany (David Sibbick), Andrew, Ryan et Caitlyn. Elle manquera énormément à sa soeur Hélène Brooks et son mari Lorne, à sa belle-soeur Eva Fontaine et son mari Norbert, ainsi qu'à ses nombreux neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines.
Annette a été prédécédée par son époux Roland en 2012, ses parents Auguste and Marie Anne Desrosiers, ses soeurs Thérèse Légaré, Lucille Desrosiers, Angèle Mignon, et frères Maurice, Paul et Jean.
Elle a été une épouse, mère, grand-mère, arrière-grand-mère, enseignante et soignante aimante et dévouée. Surtout, elle adorait ses 13 petits-enfants et 6 arrière-petits-enfants. Annette s'est dévouée corps et âme au bien-être de sa famille, et tous jouissaient de la joie et de la fierté qu'elle avait pour eux. Sa foi profonde, sa force et son dévouement nous laissent un héritage familial exceptionnel.
Annette est née et a grandi à Sainte-Anne (Manitoba). Sa profession d'enseignante a débuté en 1952 lors de l'obtention de son diplôme de l'École normale. Ses premières années d'enseignement ont été passées à St. Eustache, à St-Georges et à Fisher Branch, là où elle a rencontré et est tombée en amour avec son bien-aimé Roland. À la suite de la naissance de leurs cinq enfants et de leur déménagement à Winnipeg en 1965, elle est retournée à l'enseignement à l'École Précieux-Sang, ce qui a compris un total de 23 années comme professeur en 5e année, jusqu'à sa retraite en 1991. Annette a été grandement dévouée à ses étudiantes et à ses étudiants, et plusieurs s'en souviendront avec affection.
La famille tient à remercier de tout coer Dr. Roxanne Beaudette, les infirmières et les infirmiers, ainsi que l'ensemble du personnel d'Actionmarguerite Saint-Boniface, unité 3DE, pour leurs excellents soins, pour leur amitié et pour leur compassion envers Maman au cours de la dernière année et surtout, durant ces dernières semaines difficiles.
La Messe des funérailles aura lieu en l'Église Précieux-Sang, 200, rue Kenny, le mardi 21 juin à 14h00, précédée d'une période de visionnement d'une heure.
