  • October 1, 2022 - I have just learned of Sandy's passing - I had an ominous feeling, because I've been missing her Facebook messages and emails. Sandy and I became instant friends when we meet in our early teens. She was always such fun, full of joy and laughter and always there to share whatever her friends were going through at the time. Often, her advice and comments came in the form of long letters - she was a very good writer and had beautiful penmanship. She and Carol Hrycay and I spent so much time together, and Mrs. Palen would always give us toasted ham sandwiches and tea for lunch or after school, and always followed up with a tea cup reading, which we begged her to do. Sandy and I lost contact for some time, but reconnected a few years ago, thanks to the internet. And when we did, it was as if not a moment in time had passed. I've been missing her commentaries and the photos she posted so lovingly of good times with Ernie, the love of her life, and her daughters and their families. Her joyful spirit will always have a special place in my heart, and I know she is watching over her loved ones at every moment. Sandy, you lived life admirably, and will be sadly missed. But you will always be known for your laughter and the heartfelt joy you created for everyone whose life you touched. - Posted by: Sherry (Charison) Green (Forever Friend) on: Oct 05, 2022

  • Dear Ernie, Sherry and Kristy . . . My heartfelt sympathy to your entire family. While it has been many years since I last saw Sandy, I will never forget all the good times spent and friendship shared when we all lived on the same street. More recently we found each other on FB and happily, were able to touch base once again. All these times will remain in my fond memories of her forever. Sandy was warm and sincere, with the most beautiful smile. A life gone much too soon and now, our loss is heaven's gain . . . RIP sweet lady - you will be forever loved and missed . . . - Posted by: Lois Middleton (Formerly Stewart) (Friend and Former Neighbour) on: Jun 25, 2022
