RUTH RIESENBACH
(nee LETINSKY)

It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth Riesenbach announces her passing on June 25, 2022, at the age of 89.
Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph (Joe) in 2013. She is survived by her children, Adrian (Jack) Raizman, Ron (Perla) Riesenbach, and Jeff Riesen; grandchildren, Joshua (Sarah), Alisa (Soren), Ariel (Lisy), Noah and Carmi; great-grandchildren, Sloane, Maya and Jonah.
She was a woman of great generosity of spirit, devoted to her family and surrounded by her lifelong friends. She actively supported Jewish culture and causes in order to make her community and the world a better place. Her blessed memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family.
The family would like to thank the clinical staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, 5th Floor Unit 1 whose efforts made the last months of her life as comfortable as possible.
Funeral services were held at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery on June 28, 2022 where she was interred next to her beloved husband Joe.

  • On behalf of the United Jewish People's Order (Winnipeg Chapter) I would like to extend our condolences on Ruth's death. I did not know Ruth personally, but as a 'contact' to whom I forwarded articles or notices of events via email. Ruth took part in a virtual lecture series on Yiddish literature organized by UJPO and given by Dr. Itay Zutra last year. I hope you have loving memories to console you at this difficult time. Best, Harriet Zaidman, Secretary, UJPO Winnipeg - Posted by: Harriet Zaidman (Acquaintance) on: Jul 02, 2022

  • Ruth was indeed a very sweet and generous lady whom I got to know for a couple of years at Tuxedo Estates - we kept in touch when she moved last fall and I saw her this past winter when I brought some mail I found addressed to her - she seemed very happy in her new home. I know she battled a lot of pain in recent years and is now at rest... - Posted by: AnnaMaria Magnifico (neighbour) on: Jul 02, 2022
