LEALANI INIZE COURCHENE

It is with great sadness we announce the passing, of Lealani (Laney) Inize Courchene on June 27, 2022 at the age of 21 years.
Laney will be forever missed by her mother Doreen, step father Russell Griffin, great-grandmothers Edna Johnston and Lena Houston, grandma Velma Kent (James Cook), foster parents Marilyn and John Fontaine, aunts Cheryl, Nicole, Natasha, Kendra, Brett, Casey, Quincy, Ramona, her Godparents Vanessa and Dale and numerous cousins, friends and family.
She was predeceased by her father Emile C. Courchene Jr, great-grandparents Fredrick and Priscilla Kent, Charles Johnston, Ralph and Jean Cook, grandparents Amil and Elaine Courchene, aunts and uncles Lori Courchene, Colleen Cook, Amber and Adam Martin, Barry Kent, John and Linda Kent.
Laney graduated from Sagkeeng High School class of 2019. She was attending Red River College. Laney loved to dress up and do her make-up, especially her eyelashes and red lips. She loved the outdoors, powwows, babysitting, loved kids, loved her animals, baking, and socializing with friends and family. She was always an early riser with her cats. She will be always be remembered among her family and friends.
Wake services is being held at the Christ Church Anglican from July 1 to July 3, 2022 Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to at a later date.
