ELINOR ISABEL SKLAR
It's hard to believe that one year has passed since we lost our beautiful wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, grandmother, friend and colleague, Elinor Isabel Sklar, on June 29, 2021. Her death from Covid 19, in an Ottawa Hospital, has left a huge hole in our hearts. We have had a tough year of firsts - first birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Easter and Mother's Day without her. It has been uncomfortable, and it has been bittersweet. Through the sadness we have all found some comfort and joy in the memory of her compassionate spirit and kind-heartedness, her warm smile and love of laughter.
Elinor saw the best in everyone and was sure to make that known. To her, what was truly important were the connections, the friendships, and the love that you leave in your wake and Elinor Isabel had a very big wake. Mom you are forever in our thoughts, minds, and hearts.
