RANDALL WILLIAM MABB
August 25, 1961 - July 9, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Randall (Randy) William Mabb, on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in his home, at the age of 60.
Randy was predeceased by his father Walter (Wally) Mabb (1990) and his mother Jean Mabb (2003). His memory will be forever cherished by his wife of 36 years, Helen, his daughters, Merissa (Evan), Tricia (Jeff), his grandchildren, Ivy, Axl and Gia, and his brother Don (Cece).
Randy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 25, 1961. His first love was hockey. He grew up as an athlete playing for the Flying Aces hockey team, until he injured his knee and couldn't return. His career started at CP Rail where he worked as a welder for 18 years. He later became a successful business owner of Sherwood Grocery & Chipstand with his wife, where they worked together for 22 years. Randy spent his last two years in retirement with Helen, relaxing at their lake house surrounded by family and many friends.
Randy had a passion for fishing and being on the water. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed cooking and entertaining for many. He loved playing cards, casino trips, going to the sprint car races, shopping and travelling. He also really liked his eagles.
Everyone who knew Randy loved him and his sense of humour. He worked hard during the week and on weekends you could find him with a smile on his face and a drink in his hand. He lived life to the fullest.
Randy had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He adored his grandchildren and was very proud of his daughters. There is nothing in this world that he loved more than his family.
We lost a great man and our lives will never be the same. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
We will celebrate the life of Randy Mabb on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul, Manitoba.
The family is grateful for the outpour of love and support during this difficult time.

  • We're so sorry to hear about Randy. We always enjoyed a good conversation and a few laughs while shopping at the store. Sherwood store was transformed into a great grocery store for Gull Lake and in the early years. Randy and Helen brought the community together by hosting special events. Randy will be missed by many.
