MARGARET CLARE ZAHYNACZ
May 6, 1946 - December 16, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Margaret Zahynacz (née Webb) last winter at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary.
Margaret was born to Clarence and Mary Webb on May 6, 1946, in Winnipeg. She grew up surrounded by family, parks and summers at the Lake. Margaret graduated from St. James Collegiate in 1964 and went on to obtain her RN and certificate in Public Health from the Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Manitoba. In 1968 Margaret married William Zahynacz and moved to Calgary, where she worked as a school nurse before leaving to focus on raising her family. As a mother, Margaret shined and found lifelong friends through her involvement in LLL. She later returned to work as a parent educator and eventually retired to the joy of being a grandmother.
Margaret's gentle, reassuring presence is missed by her husband of 52 years, William; her daughters, Sonya and Katharine (Mathias); her sons, Billy and Danny (Ashleigh); her sisters, Patsy (Dennis) and Bernice (John); her brother Don (Doreen); her grandchildren, Freddy, Macara, Naio, Arvin, River and Desta, and many family members and friends.
An interment and celebration of Margaret's life will take place in Winnipeg at St. James Cemetery (1553 Wolseley Ave. W., Winnipeg) on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
