IRMA PENNER
March 10, 1932 - July 12, 2022
Irma passed away at age 90. She was predeceased by her husband Waldemar, her parents, Olga and Peter Rempel, sister and brother-in-law Kaethe and John Schroeder, nephews, John and Richard and son-in-law Don Gascho.
Irma was born in Ukraine and immigrated to Winnipeg, MB in 1948 with her mother and sister. Her father was reunited with the family 19 years later. Shortly after her arrival in Canada she met Waldemar whom she married in a double wedding ceremony with her sister, in 1951. They had twin daughters, Erika and Monika. Together Irma and Waldemar built a new life in Canada.
There will be a small family funeral, arranged by Valley View Funeral Home, in Surrey, BC. This will be held on July 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
Donations may be made to a charity of choice , in lieu of flowers.
