JOSEPH WARBANSKI

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph. He suffered a heart attack on Friday, July 8, 2022, and passed peacefully a few days later at Grace Hospital, surrounded by family.
Joseph is mourned by his wife Barbara; daughter Taisha; sister Wendy (Ron); brothers, Michael (Shelley), Greg (Daisy), and Richard (Bev); all the nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Joseph's kindness will be missed by all who knew him.
He did not want a formal funeral service but the family encourages people to gather and celebrate him as they see fit. Sing a song, raise a glass, argue politics, share stories. He'll be there.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Harvest Manitoba.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I'm so sorry to learn of Joseph's passing. I spoke to Joseph about education financing many times, and he was always very generous with his time and patient with his explanations of education financing. He was very kind, considerate and a wonderful person. My condolences to his family. He made a big impact behind the scenes in his work and volunteer life and will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Molly McCracken (colleague) on: Sep 19, 2022

  • I'm so sorry to hear of Joseph's sudden and untimely passing. As a colleague working to support teachers in MB, I valued his expertise and ability to analyze and explain complicated financial and statistical data sets. I appreciated his "take" on political maneuvers and his insight into the likely backroom story. As a friend, it was obvious he was proud of his farm roots as we shared garden tips. Always a gentleman, always considerate of others, always interested and interesting. Definitely gone too soon. - Posted by: Linda Thorlakson (friend) on: Jul 24, 2022
