CLAUDE BENOIT LAMBERT
1942 - 2022

CLAUDE BENOIT LAMBERT

Peacefully, with family at his side, Claude passed away on June 15, 2022 at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton at 79 years of age.
He is survived by his children: daughter Caroline (Danny Leach), son David (Karie) and two granddaughters, Sophia and Adriana. Also left to mourn him are his sister Estelle (Raynald St. Hilaire), brothers, Gilbert (Paulette Courcelles), Benoit (Suzanne Carrière), Gabriel (Louise Bruneau) and Réal (Carolle Fillion), aunts, Madeleine Tétreault, Eveline Décorby, et Aline Reid, numerous nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.
Claude was predeceased by his parents, Wilfrid and Lucille (Trudel), his brother Irénée and his wife Louise (Marcoux), his sisters, Micheline and Julie (Robert Courcelles).
Proud engineer, Claude graduated from the University of Manitoba (B.Sc. Electrical Engineering) in 1964 and in 2005 he obtained an MBA from the University of Calgary. Among his most cherished memories were his contributions to the construction of the Louis Hippolyte Lafontaine Tunnel project in Montréal by the Vinci firm.
Aware that his impatience was near legendary, we prefer to remember him for his keen intellect, his broad knowledge and of course for visits from Montreal with his suitcase filled with gifts and for many skies illuminated with fireworks that he so loved.
It is with heartfelt gratitude that we thank the medical team at the University of Alberta Hospital, namely the Manzankowski Alberta Health Institute, for the exceptional care Claude received over the last 20 years.
A Mass in his memory will be celebrated on August 7 at St. Malo Church at 9:00 a.m.

Rest in peace
