CHRISTINE MAITLAND
(nee EHNES)
December 13, 1958 - July 23, 2022
With heavy hearts, we announce that Christine passed away on July 23, 2022 at the age of 63 years.
Christine is survived by her son Craig (Lindsay); grandchildren, Emerson and Nolan; mother Deane; her four siblings, Brad (Donna), Tim (Lisa), Tracey (Bob) and Trudy (Chris), as well as many extended family and friends. Her father Russ precedes her in death.
Christine was born on December 13, 1958 in Winnipeg, to Russell and Deane Ehnes. She graduated from Tec Voc High School in 1976, and had a successful career of over 35 years within the banking industry. Christine was one of the funniest people you could ever meet and had an amazing sense of humour. She loved reading and enjoyed sitting on the deck catching sun.
Christine's unbelievable strength carried her through a long battle with cancer and is finally at rest. She will be forever loved and forever remembered.
The family would also like to thank CancerCare Manitoba and the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for their compassion and care.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

So devastated to recently hear of Chris’s passing! We worked together in the banking industry for several years! She was so vibrant and vivacious and lots of fun! We shared some good laughs and a few tears too! We travelled for a weekend in Toronto with friends and I recall what a great time we had! She doted on and was so proud of her son Craig and I’m sure she was an awesome grandmother! Rest In Peace Chris!💗 - Posted by: Mary Ann Loewen (Friend) on: Nov 22, 2022

My condolences to Chris’s son and family as well all the Ehnes family members! I grew up living next door to the Ehnes’s and was a good friend with Chris during our younger years! We happened to meet up again when Chris worked for same bank for a short term and catching up with her was full of laughs and memories! You will be greatly missed Chris! ❤️ Always, Chris McDonald (Skinner) - Posted by: Christine McDonald (Friend) on: Jul 30, 2022
