AUDREY CECILE LEBEDEFF
Peacefully July 19, 2022, our mother Audrey Cecile Lebedeff took her last breath and went to be with the Lord. Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2021, Mom spent her last few days compassionately cared for by the staff at Grace Hospice.
Her 86-year journey fills our hearts and minds with so many fond memories and stories of her. Mom was born January 14,1936 in the family home on the farm in Erinview. She met her Prince in 1954 and their first date was a dance. Married in 1957 and their family life began. Mom was blessed to be home to raise the three of us while supporting Dad's Plumbing Business as his bookkeeper.
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, she was well known for her homemade buns, meatballs and her fabulous Vinarterta. She was incredibly talented and loved to spend time doing her knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. After their kids left the nest, Mom and Dad went back to their love of dancing in 1986.
Mom leaves behind her husband of 64 years, Nikola (Nick); daughter Kelly (Garry) and grandsons, Nicholas (Gloria), and Brendan, great-grandchildren, Naomi and Landon; son Dan (Tracy) and granddaughter Megan; daughter Judy and grandsons, Jackson, Jordan and Jakob. Predeceased by her father Reidar, mother Lavina and two brothers, Wray and Ross.
With Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place, along with a private family service. There will be a social / memorial celebration of her life on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Meadow Lee Hall, Marquette, MB 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Family/friends are invited to share in a dance or two to honour Mom and Dad's love of old-time and square dance.
Donations in Audrey's memory may be sent to Grace Hospice.
Thank you to Dr. Daenick, nurse Shawna at Cancer Care as well as Sarah, Palliative Co-ordinator, Manitoba Health and all the incredible staff at Grace Hospice.

Condolences & Memories (6 entries)
We send our deepest sympathies to Nick and to all of Audrey's family We remember the fun times we had dancing with Audrey and Nick at many clubs and special events here in Winnipeg, and in other cities and provinces. Our fondest memories are of the two week cruise the four of us took in 2006, from Los Angeles, down the Mexican coast, through the Panama Canal, visiting Aruba, and ending in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. - Posted by: Dave & Carole Osborne (Fiends) on: Aug 03, 2022
Sincere condolences to Nick and family, We are forever grateful for years ago meeting Audrey and Nick at a New Years Eve dance in Friedensfeld, and so many fun times since. Our hearts were saddened when told of Audrey’s illness. She continued to embrace each day with optimism and courage. We know she is smiling down on us, so when you are walking down the street and you have her on your mind, know she’s walking in your foot steps only 1/2 a step behind. In Gods garden up above, stands a rose we dearly love. Her fragrance fills our lives each day, locked in our hearts she will always stay. Elmer and Gwen. - Posted by: Elmer and Gwen Oliver (Friend) on: Aug 01, 2022
My deepest sympathies Nick. I was shocked to see the notice in the paper. I am sorry that Audrey passed so quickly and that I did not get in touch. My sympathies to Kelly, Danny, and Judy on the passing of your mother and to the extended families on the passing of your grandmother/great grandmother. Audrey was a gracious lady and greatly admired. Thinking of you all at this time... - Posted by: Laura Isbister (relative) on: Aug 01, 2022

My deepest condolences to Nick and his family during this sad time. I have many memories that bring a smile and show the wonderful person Audrey was. She touched many lives in her positive way and our hearts are feeling sadness because she was here and loved by all. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Betty Kernoski (Friend) on: Jul 30, 2022
