Date of Passing: Jul 15, 2022Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
1934 - 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce that Alfred Miederhoff passed away at Beacon Hill Lodge on July 15, 2022 at the age of 88 years.
Alfred immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1957 and made Winnipeg his home. He was a kind, humble man, who was very grateful for his life in Canada.
He was married to Martha Jabs who passed away in 2013 and was blessed for the 54 years they spent together.
Alfred was a skilled and respected carpenter. He retired from Kraft Construction in 1988.
Thank you to the compassionate caregivers at Beacon Hill Lodge and to his long-time faithful neighbours Ada and Henry Wiebe.
A private service honouring Alfred will be held at a later date.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)
I knew Alfred as a uncle by marriage to Rita his niece from the early 1970’s to the late 1990’s , when Rita and I divorced. Many family gatherings with Alfred and Martha were enjoyed through out those years and I reflect on many good memories also shared with my 2 sons Colin(deceased 2017) and Stephen . Alfred was a kind soft spoken man with a patient listening ear. He was generous ,always willing to help. He enjoyed a good conversation and was curious to understand what ever the topic. I am sad to here of his passing and am thankful for his part in my life . My condolences to he family particularly his nieces Rita and Diana . - Posted by: Jerry Bergen (Nephew in law) on: Aug 05, 2022
